There’s a certain stillness that comes with the Fall. It’s something I desperately crave after summer’s chaotic frenzies. Those mornings where you wake up too early, are treated to the scrambled egg sky, and a moment of peace; moment’s like that are needed.
For today’s addition to the project, October’s New Fall, Cylan Shaffer presents a ten-song YouTube playlist that creates stillness in your body & pulls the chaos into your mind. Each song holds a story, one which requires the stillness, that only Autumn can bring, just to be heard. I quoted Nietzsche in a previous post, but his statement of “we listen to music with our muscles”, was probably said after he moved through this playlist. Use this as a way to slow down your Sunday night or to clear your mind before a week of work.
And go check out the other works that I’ve talked about by Cylan. It’s rare to find someone so young create something so powerful yet graceful. When you find these people, hold on to them tight.
